A History of Defense Against the Dark Arts
Ways to defend oneself against the dark arts was originally discovered in 3200 bc when the first dark creature was discovered. Olinkin, a wizard of age 33, was walking through private property ( he was taking a short cut to his house in Kent)and he was stopped by a beast called corintheus. Corintheus was a half human, quarter owl, and the other quarter was a dragon. Anyway, Olinkin was scared, he started to run but found himself stopped dead in his tracks. He pulled out an old wand, only made of 1/4 of a unicorn hair and an inch of holly, (wands didn't have to be so powerfull back then)he thrusted it at Corintheus, shouting "apronanink," a spell no longer used, that makes anything turn anything evil into rock ( it can't be undone so the ministry put an end to it). Corintheus turned to rock and Olinkin was titled as a hero. However, after that more evil beasts began to produce from the statue, later they evolved into men, into women, into banshees, vampires, and werewolves. Thereafter, defense against the dark arts was needed. It was in 4000 bc, that the dark side was first in full power, strong, and taking over.
